- These Apulian cherry tomatoes are grown in the sunny plains of Alto Salento, just a few kilometers from the sea, on the ground and in open fields
- Once they have reached the optimum degree of ripeness, they are harvested by hand in several passes from July to August
- They are then processed according to ancient tradition
- They are cut in half, lightly salted and lightly dried on racks in the hot Apulian summer sun
- Finally, they are seasoned with herbs, vinegar and a pinch of salt and preserved in oil, without preservatives, in order to preserve for a long time the extraordinary taste of the ripe tomatoes harvested in summer
- The cherry tomatoes from Puglia, with their soft and slightly sweet taste, are perfect for a slice of toasted bread, to enhance salads or as an accompaniment to cold meats and cheeses.
