PUGLIA VINA from Latin, Apulian wines.

I myself am a native of Puglia, and come from the area Valle d`Itria.

It is believed that in Puglia vines were grown for wine already in the year 2 000 BC. At the beginning by the Phoenicians (people of today's Lebanon), then by the Greeks, the Romans already find an advanced viticulture.

The soils in the Puglia land are poor in nutrients, they are mainly composed of limestone, clay or clay loam.
