- The different grape varieties were fermented separately in small steel tanks in order to preserve their varietal characteristics. After the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic fermentation took place, again in steel tanks. Last but not least, the wine was aged partly in barriques used for Ornellaia and partly in cement tanks for 10 months in order to achieve a perfect balance between the tannic structure and expression of the fruit
- Characteristics
- The 2019 vintage of Le Volte dell‘Ornellaia is characterized by a great balance and expressiveness. It shines ruby red in the glass and presents clearly defined, intense nuances of red berries and rose petals on the nose. On the palate it is full-bodied and enveloping, with dense tannins and a lively acidity. A very pleasant and enjoyable wine
