- Lidia Levi, Romano's sister, was an expert in growing herbs. Today the Amaro is produced according to their original recipes. In addition to the indigenous hops from Piedmont, chinotto (bitter oranges) from Savona and oranges from Bergeggi are also used. These are macerated with other herbs and then refined with sugar and original Romano Levi Grappa
