Extension
The three grapes were harvested by hand at different times depending on their optimal ripeness. The wines were aged separately, partly in barrel and partly in steel. They remained on the lees for around 12 months, with regular bâtonnage (stirring of the wines to stir up the pure yeast deposited at the bottom of the barrel and to encourage its self-dissolution, which gives the wine more complexity in aromas and flavours), the assemblage was made in October 2020

Soil_Profile
The soils of Doc Friuli Colli Orientali, and therefore of Orsaria, are composed of marly rocks (silt) and sandstone (consolidated sand), deposited in the Tertiary period, namely the Eocene. Their geological formation is fascinating. Today's flat and hilly land of Friuli was 60 million years ago the vast gulf of what later became the Adriatic Sea. A general uplift of this region pushed the sea back, so that the submontane eastern part and the pre-Alpine area became the mainland. Upheavals that took place between 1.8 and 70 million years ago. This complex, with the soils of Friuli Venezia Giulia particularly gifted for viticulture, is called the Flysch of Cormòns
